The NBFC outsourcing rule to know

The RBI's NBFC outsourcing directions of 28 November 2025 (RBI/DOR/2025-26/363) bar outsourcing of core management functions, including internal audit and strategic and compliance functions. Reserved decisions include determining compliance with KYC norms for opening deposit accounts and sanctioning loans. A provider can prepare and check files, but those decisions stay with the NBFC. This is a summary, not legal advice.
