Loan Underwriting Support Services
A dedicated back-office pod that collects, verifies and prepares loan files so your underwriters receive complete files. Every credit decision stays with your team.
Overview
Underwriters lose time when loan files arrive incomplete, unreadable or out of order. Infusion Business Intelligence runs a dedicated loan underwriting support pod that sits before your underwriting desk. The pod collects borrower documents, verifies identity proofs, address proofs, bank statements, employment letters and tax documents against your checklist, processes financial statements, enters the data into your lending system, and hands each file to your underwriter complete and ready for review. The pod prepares the file; your underwriters assess it and make the credit decision.
What are loan underwriting support services?
Loan underwriting support services are the back-office work that gets a loan file ready for an underwriter: collecting borrower documents, verifying them, processing financial statements and entering the data. Infusion BI runs this as a dedicated pod inside your systems; your underwriters review the file and make every credit decision.
Common Operational Challenges
Underwriters Doing File Assembly
Skilled underwriters spend part of each day chasing missing documents and re-keying data instead of assessing files.
Application Backlogs at Peak Volume
Manual processing backlogs slow loan approvals when application volume rises faster than the desk can hire.
Entry Errors in Borrower Data
Mistyped figures from bank statements or financial statements reach the lending system and surface late, at review or audit.
Sensitive Borrower Records
Borrower identity, income and banking documents must be handled in a controlled environment that stands up to a data-protection audit.
Target Outcomes
Complete, checked loan files reaching your underwriters, with missing documents and discrepancies flagged before the file arrives.
Capabilities & Solutions
Borrower Document Collection
Requesting and tracking the documents your checklist requires, including verification calls that help applicants complete their submissions.
Borrower Credential Verification
Checking identity proofs, address proofs, employment letters and tax documents against your criteria, and recording what was checked.
Financial Statement Processing
Extracting figures from bank statements and financial statements into your lending system or spreadsheet templates.
Credit Data Compilation
Assembling the credit scoring data your underwriters ask for, so it sits in the file before review starts.
Double-Key Entry Checks
Dual verification of keyed records, plus OCR-assisted capture that a person checks and corrects.
File Hand-Off & Exception Notes
Complete files passed to your underwriting queue, with missing items and discrepancies flagged for your team.

The Infusion BI Difference
Infusion Business Intelligence differs from a traditional BPO vendor in four operating areas: staffing, quality assurance, reporting, and SLA governance. Infusion BI assigns dedicated delivery pods instead of shared agent pools, AI-audits 100% of interactions instead of sampling, and reports through live dashboards instead of static weekly summaries.
| Area | Traditional BPO | Infusion BI |
|---|---|---|
| Staffing model | Shared staffing pools with high churn rates. | Dedicated delivery pods assigned exclusively to your program. |
| Quality assurance | Manual random QA call/ticket sampling checks. | 100% real-time AI conversations quality audit checks. |
| Reporting | Static weekly basic text reports. | Live executive BI client performance dashboards. |
| SLA governance | Generic SLA parameters with reactive support. | Domain-specific governance and SLA accountability. |
Who This Is For — and Who It Isn’t
A good fit if you…
- Banks, NBFCs and other lenders whose underwriters spend time assembling files instead of reviewing them.
- Lending teams that see application backlogs when volume rises and want a pod that can add specialists for bulk backlogs.
- Lenders who want file preparation done inside their own loan management system, not in an outside tool.
- Credit operations leaders who want daily reporting on files processed, turnaround and error rates.
- Regulated lenders that need clean-desk, zero-local-storage handling of borrower documents.
Not the right fit if you need…
- Anyone looking for a vendor to approve, decline, price or sanction loans. Those are credit decisions and stay with you.
- Work that legally requires a licensed professional, including credit or lending decisions.
- A one-off clean-up of a few days rather than an ongoing file pipeline.
- Programs that need staff physically on-site in your country.
Scope & Exclusions
The pod owns the work between "application received" and "file ready for the underwriter". The underwriting judgement itself is outside scope.
What the team does
- Collecting borrower documents and following up on missing or unclear items.
- Verifying borrower credentials: identity proof, address proof, employment letters, tax documents and bank statements.
- Processing financial statements and entering borrower data into your lending system.
- Compiling credit scoring data and other inputs your underwriters request.
- Flagging discrepancies, expired or illegible documents, and gaps against your checklist.
- Daily SLA, volume and accuracy reporting on the file pipeline.
What it explicitly does not do
- Prepares and verifies files for underwriters — does not make credit or lending decisions.
- Does not approve, decline, price or sanction any loan, or override your credit policy.
- No data processed outside client-approved systems.
How It Works
-
01
Checklist agreed with your credit team
During onboarding we document your document checklist for each loan product you route to the pod, your acceptance rules and your escalation path. The pod works only to that checklist.
-
02
Application received and documents collected
A new application lands in your system. The pod logs it, requests anything missing and, where you allow customer contact, calls the applicant to help complete the submission.
-
03
Borrower documents verified
Identity proof, address proof, employment letters, tax documents and bank statements are checked against the checklist for completeness, legibility and consistency, and each check is recorded.
-
04
Financials processed and data entered
Figures from bank statements and financial statements are captured into your lending system with OCR assistance and double-key checks, together with the credit scoring data your underwriters use.
-
05
QA review and exception notes
The QA analyst samples files against the rubric. Anything that does not match, cannot be verified or falls outside the checklist is written up as an exception rather than resolved by assumption.
-
06
Hand-off to your underwriter
The complete file moves to your underwriting queue with its exception notes. Your underwriter assesses it and makes the credit decision. The pod does not influence the outcome.
What We Measure
- Processing accuracy rate (99.9% published across data processing programs)
- File turnaround time against the agreed SLA
- Files completed per day
- Share of files handed off complete, without missing documents
- Error rate found in QA sampling
- Open exceptions awaiting client input
The Dedicated Loan File Pod
Your program starts with one small dedicated pod — processing specialists plus a team lead and a QA analyst — sized in the SOW to the agreed file volume. Headcount is never shared with other clients.
Loan File Specialists
Background-verified specialists trained in data-security compliance and in your document checklist and lending system.
Team Lead
Manages the daily file queue, turnaround and escalations to your credit operations team, and owns daily reporting.
QA Analyst
Samples AI-scored files against the QA rubric and drives corrective action on any error.
The pod works inside your loan management system, CRM or secure database connections — no data is processed outside client-approved systems — with ISO 27001-aligned controls (certification in progress).
Quality & Governance
Every loan file is scored by AI-assisted QA against five dimensions and sampled by the pod's QA analyst. Failures trigger CAPA (corrective and preventive action).
Accuracy
Borrower data entered and documents verified are correct.
Compliance
Data-handling, clean-desk and access rules are followed.
Outcome
The file is complete and ready for your underwriter.
Customer Experience
Clarity and professionalism on every applicant follow-up call.
Process Adherence
Correct tagging, system logging and escalation path used.
Governance cadence
Daily performance reports, weekly governance reviews and monthly business reviews.
Pilot & Engagement Terms
The pilot is the standard 3-month initial term — there is no separate "free trial". You start small, measure against agreed metrics, and decide at the end of the term whether to scale, adjust or exit.
-
01
Discovery & scoping
A scoping call, then a written pilot SOW with 3–5 success metrics agreed before go-live.
-
02
NDA + SLA
NDA and SLA are signed before any data transfer.
-
03
Onboarding & certification
Onboarding and agent certification take 2–4 weeks.
-
04
Live delivery
Daily performance reports and weekly governance reviews from day one of live work.
-
05
Pilot review
An end-of-term pilot review: scale, adjust, or exit.
Pod
One small dedicated pod — agents plus a team lead and a QA analyst — sized in the SOW to the agreed volume. Headcount is never shared with other clients.
Pricing
Per dedicated FTE per month or volume-based, quoted after scoping.
Exit terms
No obligation to renew after the initial term. On exit, your SOPs, knowledge base and reports are handed back, system access is revoked, and your data is returned or deleted per the agreement.
